ROI (Return on Investment)

Calculation

Definition

A measure of the profitability of an investment, calculated as the gain from the investment divided by the cost of the investment.

Formula

ROI = [(Current Value - Total Investment) ÷ Total Investment] × 100

Example

If you invested $200,000 total and the property is now worth $250,000, your ROI is 25% (50,000 ÷ 200,000 × 100).
