Pending

Definition

A property status indicating an accepted offer and signed contract, but the transaction has not yet closed. The property is no longer actively marketed, though backup offers may be accepted. Most common status between "active" and "sold".

Example

A Winchester home moves from "active" to "pending" after the seller accepts your offer and you sign the P&S agreement. It remains pending for 30-45 days until closing, when it becomes "sold".
