Duplex

Definition

A residential building containing two separate housing units, typically side-by-side or stacked vertically. Often used as an investment property where the owner lives in one unit and rents the other.

Example

A Winchester duplex with two 1,200 sq ft units, each with separate entrances. Owner lives in Unit 1, rents Unit 2 for $2,500/month.
